New Jersey Devils fans are itching for some action, but fear not. We’re getting close to trade season.

The Stanley Cup is underway, so the offseason will be here before you know it. The Devils will likely be active on the trade market, looking to improve their roster.

As we’ve stated a few times, adding some more scoring pop will be a priority for new GM Sunny Mehta. Among the trade targets he could consider is Mason McTavish.

McTavish is coming off a down season, but he might be the ideal change-of-scenery candidate. He is a natural center, but he may be a better fit on the wing for the Devils. Let’s look at why that’s the case.
